Position Overview:

We are seeking a professional and service-driven Food and Beverage Supervisor to manage the hotel’s day-to-day food and beverage operations. The successful candidate will help ensure fast, friendly, and efficient service while maintaining an upbeat atmosphere that appeals to a diverse clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily food and beverage operations in a professional manner.

• Ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements, sanitation standards, and operational procedures.

• Maintain discipline and assist with reviewing employee performance.

• Ensure guests receive fast, friendly, and efficient food and beverage service.

• Maintain a welcoming and upbeat atmosphere for a diverse clientele.

• Ensure the department complies with the requirements of the operational standards manual.

• Assist the Food and Beverage Manager with designing and reviewing menus.

• Maintain accurate sales and costing records.

• Assist with staff training and development.

• Prepare management reports relating to profits, losses, and variances.

• Control inventory within the food and beverage department.

• Ensure accurate stocktakes are completed.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations.

• An understanding of relevant legal requirements and sanitation standards.

• Good leadership, supervisory, and employee-management skills.

• Strong guest-service orientation.

• Experience with menu planning, sales records, and cost control.

• The ability to prepare and interpret reports on profits, losses, and variances.

• Good inventory-management and stocktaking skills.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
