With the collaboration of a dedicated team, including the local South African architectural firm Ohkre Collective, construction company Phase Three, green consultant André Harms of Ecolution, and spa consultant Jacoline Wentzel of Spa Warehouse, Verde Vita was meticulously designed to infuse sustainability into every aspect.

As a testament to Hotel Verde’s unwavering commitment to sustainable living, Verde Vita has been thoughtfully designed to align with the hotel’s eco-friendly principles which help minimise its environmental footprint. “Verde Vita’s design embodies sustainability in every aspect, from the reuse of the existing shell and walls to the implementation of an infrared cabin, which significantly reduces energy consumption compared to traditional saunas. A construction waste management plan was put in place throughout the building process, ensuring that waste is avoided, reused, recycled, or donated, resulting in a landfill diversion rate of more than 70%,” said David Pollock, Technical Manager of Hotel Verde, who oversaw the entire project management.

As part of the spa experience, customers have the unique opportunity to indulge in the natural hotel pool in the lush garden surrounded by wetlands and fynbos. Hotel Verde is the only commercial hotel with more than 100 rooms to have a natural pool on the African continent. This natural hotel pool uses plants to filter the water without the need for any harmful chemicals such as chlorine. In addition to the natural hotel pool, visitors can take advantage of the 350-meter jogging trail and the outdoor gym, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the beauty and serenity of the natural surroundings while achieving their fitness goals.

• We have a wonderful spa facility available, that offers an Infrared Cabin, showers, 3 treatment rooms, pedicure area and breathing room for post treatment relaxation.

• Reservations are required to be made for all treatments and use of Infra-red Cabin at the spa reception or hotel reception.

• All our treatments are suitable for all genders.

• Please be advised no children under the age of 12 allowed in the spa.

• If you require a couple’s treatment package, please make your booking at least 12 hours in advance, to ensure staff availability.

• Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your spa treatments and check in at the spa reception. In a spirit of mutual respect, we kindly request punctuality.

• You will be required to fill in a consultation form, prior to your treatment.

• Kindly advise us of any health conditions, allergies or injuries that could affect your treatment.

• Most treatments are safe for expecting and nursing mothers. Please ask your therapist to advise.

• Gratuities are not included in treatment price. It is at your own discretion to add a gratuity for treatment excellence.

• Hotel Verde, Verde Vita Spa, its therapists, and suppliers will not be held responsible for any injuries, adverse reactions, or complications before, during or after a treatment/s; or for any theft, damage, loss, or accident that occurs on the premises.

• Please note any spa products purchased are not returnable or refundable.

• Please note our facilities are unisex facilities, thus no nudity will be allowed during the use of the facilities or treatments. Please wear a bathing suit when using our Infrared Cabin. Please use suitable underwear for your treatment or alternatively we can provide you with disposable underwear.
